The variable displacement pump controls the movement frequency of the plunger by automatically adjusting the double - linked oil pump and changing the amount of oil involved in doing work, so as to achieve the purpose of variable displacement and energy saving. It is especially suitable for working with filter presses. At the initial stage when the filter press starts to work, since all the templates are in a completely empty state, it is necessary to quickly fill the space between the templates with mud. After being filled, the mud pump is required to replenish the filter press to keep the mud pressure stable, which is conducive to the discharge of water. The hydraulic plunger variable displacement pump is a special pump for mud filters developed in response to this process requirement. Its working principle is as follows:
- When the mud filter is first started, oil pumps P1 and P2 supply oil to the system simultaneously, with the oil flow rate reaching the maximum. This accelerates the movement frequency of the mud pump, increases the displacement, and enables the mud filter to be quickly filled.
- After the mud filter is filled with mud, the outlet pressure of the mud pump increases and the flow rate decreases, causing the pressure of the hydraulic system to rise. When the flow rate is low enough to be supplied solely by P1, P2 can be unloaded, thereby reducing the motor load and achieving the purpose of energy conservation. The maximum pressure of the system is set by the overflow valve DB10. The set pressure of the unloading valve DA10 is lower than that of the overflow valve DB10 (the pressure difference is determined by each user according to specific conditions, and the recommended mud pressure difference is 2kg). When the system pressure reaches the set pressure of the unloading valve DA10, DA10 is turned on, and the oil pump P2 is unloaded. The oil output by the oil pump P2 flows back to the oil tank through DA10, and the oil pump P1 alone supplies oil to the system. Due to the reduction of oil flow in the system, the movement of the plunger pump slows down and the mud displacement decreases, achieving the purpose of replenishing mud to the mud filter.
